Japan Webpage Contest for Schools – Cast your vote!

Cast your Vote!

The top ten schools in the Japan Webpage Contest for Schools have now been shortlisted. We received lots of wonderful and imaginative entries and it was very hard to choose just 10 to shortlist.

You can now view all entries to the contest, and vote for your favorite shortlisted entry here:

http://www.japanwebpagecontest.org.uk/vote/

The school that receives the most online votes will win the Public Vote Award. The Overall Winner, Runners-Up and Design Award Winner will be decided by the final judging panel.

The aims of the contest are:

To showcase the various Japan-related projects that UK schools are doing, in order to inspire teachers in other schools, and promote the teaching of Japanese and about Japan to the wider community.

To raise the profile of Japanese and Japan within the school, and motivate schools already teaching Japanese or doing Japan-related projects to continue this excellent work.

To motivate the students who have been involved in learning Japanese or about Japan at the school.

We hope that the contest will benefit participating schools, for example by contributing to teachers’ and students’ intercultural understanding, cross-curricular awareness and ICT skills.

Open to:

Any UK primary or secondary school that is teaching Japanese or doing any kind of project related to Japan.

Your school does not need to be teaching Japanese to enter.
