The Asian Music Circuit started its first summer school in 1997. The idea was to create opportunities for people to learn directly from master musicians in a friendly and inspiring environment. The Japanese music summer school offers tuition in Koto with Dr Ayako Hotta-Lister and Taiko drumming with Liz Walters. This year the Taiko course is designed for beginners or those with limited experience in Taiko drumming.
