British Origami Society Autumn Convention 2009

4-6 September 2009

This Origami convention invited two famous Japanese folders, Yoshihide & Sumiko Momotani from Japan. The convention featured lectures andd teaching classes where the attendees had the opportunity to learn new origami designs, as well as the chance to participate in special workshops setup with the special guests.

There was also an exhibition review where the Momotani’s discussed some of their own inspirational work and models which had been transported from Japan.  This included a collection of scenes from traditional fairy tales, such as, a Cinderella Pumpkin coach and parts of the Thumbelina story.

The event was open to the public and during the course of the weekend attracted 150 attendees.
