Shinnai Performace in Belfast by Japanese Living National Treasure, Tsuruga Wakasanojo XI and his group

This was the first performance of Shinnai genre of traditional story telling through song in Northern Ireland. Tsurugu Wakasonojo was asked to come to the UK by Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs to give performances. Whilst in Belfast the JSNI were the hosts for the group, who gave a highly successful and enjoyable demonstration, to an audience of around 100.
