The Japan Suiboku Centre, who is hosting this workshop, aims to propagate the art of Japanese brush-stroke painting and calligraphy by developing public awareness through education, exhibition and publication. The Centre encourages students to cultivate an awareness of life in the natural world, by choosing subjects that are endangered.
