This exhibition of Japanese domestic and sculptural ceramics features the potters Tomoko Okuda and Peter Seabridge from Tokoname, also Taketoshi Ota and Masahiro Kumagai from Kyushu. Their work combines traditional and contemporary styles and includes tea-ceremony wares and different regional influences and clay types. The potters themselves are sharing their knowledge and skills with masterclasses, demonstrations and free tea ceremony events, all designed to give visitors an insight into Japanese ceramics and culture.
