On June 18th England play New Zealand at the Beaufort Polo Club in the second Test Match of the summer.  During the pre match luncheon there will be an auction in aid of charities supporting the victims of the recent natural disasters in New Zealand and Japan.  “Recent events have touched us all” says Beaufort Director of polo Olly Hughes.   ”With England playing hosts to New Zealand, this event seemed the perfect way for the polo community to show their support for the victims of these tragedies and we are thrilled to be working with The New Zealand and Japanese societies to publicise the event”.  The club are currently asking for auction donations, “People have already been incredibly generous and that generosity will hopefully help us raise a lot of money on the day, all of the auction profits will go to the charities” he concluded.

Gloucestershire’s premier polo event is set to attract over 3,000 spectators and is part of the Beaufort Country Fair featuring a weekend of displays and world class polo.  As well as the main international on the Saturday, Sunday sees a highly competitive charity match in aid of charities for whom Prince William and Prince Harry are patrons.
