Tanabata at Kew Gardens 2017 Photos

Wednesday 2 & Thursday 3 August 2017, Kew Gardens

Once again, our celebration of Tanabata festival at the Kew Gardens was a wonderful two-days event and hundreds of families joined us to enjoy kamishibai story telling, tea ceremony, treasure trails, yukata dressing up, origami and calligraphy workshops and the sound of taiko drummers.

Thank you to all visitors for joining us despite the rain and special thanks to all our volunteers for their great work!

Co-organised by Kew Gardens, Embassy of Japan in the UK, Japan House London and the Japan Society. In collaboration with Architect Shinichiro Hashiguchi, Canton Tea Co & A Thousand Cranes.
