Young Japanese Musicians
at the Royal Academy of Music

This recital has been organized by the Royal Academy of Music and the Japan Society to mark the start of JAPAN-UK 150, a year of events commemorating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Commerce and Amity between Japan and Britain in 1858.

It showcases three talented Japanese musicians currently studying at the Academy.

Ayako Kanazawa: Piano

Rikuya Terashima: New work for solo clarinet - UK premiere
Shostakovich: Four Waltzes
Rentaro Taki arr. Louis Moyse: ‘Kojo No Tsuki’ new work for flute and piano - UK premiere
Saint-Saens: Tarantella
