Membership types Membership of the Japan Society is open to both individuals and to organisations. Subscription rates are found below. The Society is funded entirely from the income it receives from membership subscriptions. As a learned society and registered charity, we are not able to make profits from our many activities. There is no membership joining fee. Annual subscriptions are payable on joining and on 1 January in each subsequent year. If you wish to apply for the membership, please contact us (for contact details see below). We will get back to you as soon as possible. The Society has, since its foundation, taken a leading role at the centre of UK-Japan relations. It has links with many other organisations involved in UK-Japanese exchange and chairs an annual 'Forum' of such organisations. It jointly sponsors a series of seminars with the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, and conducts joint events with Asia House, JETRO and other partner organizations. Corporate Membership Corporate Membership is open to corporate bodies and the society both welcomes the participation of, and relies upon the support of, companies and organisations that are either Japanese and origin or that have interests in Japan and Japan-related business.Corporate membership allows all staff and their spouses to join events, the Society provides by email or post, a regular update of events planned. Membership also allows access to the library and receipt of our "Japan Review" and "Proceedings". Subscription Rates
