The Japan Society has a range of resources to support teaching about Japan. Please follow the links below or use the side menu’s to find those which best meet your needs. These include curriculum related teaching ideas, complete with supporting images and activity sheets, for KS1 onwards. Topics include farming, haiku, religion and theatre, etc. The online version of Ready Steady NihonGO!, a 10 lesson course in spoken Japanese for KS2, is here. Information sheets on organising a Japanese festival, spending a GAP year in Japan and a list of speakers and workshop leaders with Japan-related expertise are also available in this section along with various visual resources in the photobank.
The Japan Society’s loan resources include the Japan Activity Chest, Daiwa Resource Packs for teachers, kamishibai storyboards, The Way We Are photographic exhibition and more.
