The 15th World Children’s Haiku Contest 2017- 2018 Results

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 15th World Children’s Haiku Contest. The Japan Society would like to thank everyone for their support of this year’s contest, which saw a record number of haiku. Entrants were asked to compose their own haiku on the theme of ‘Living Things’ and submit it with an accompanying illustration, for a chance to win a Canon digital camera.

We were extremely pleased to see a great deal of interest from teachers and pupils and it has been a pleasure to observe the high standard of entries received from schools across the UK. Many of this year’s entries were also accompanied by some excellent hand drawn images helping to bring their haiku alive.

The judging panel this year included representatives of Japan Airlines, The Embassy of Japan, The World Haiku Club and The Japan Society.
