Event Video - Japan Literatures of Remembering
Watch the video of our online discussion on Thursday 13 August 2020 to launch of the special issue of Wasafiri: Japan Literatures of Remembering, published to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the end of the World War Two in the Pacific.
The event was chaired by co-editor of Wasafiri Issue 102, Elizabeth Chappell, with panellists Rayna Denison, Senior Lecturer in Film, Television and Media Studies at the University of East Anglia and Stephen Dodd, Professor Emeritus of Japanese Literature at SOAS, University of London. They were joined by Mimi Hachikai in Japan reading her poetry and contributing to the discussion alongside her translator Kyoko Yoshida.
