Spaces are limited and so early booking is recommended.
This workshop is open to children between ages 8-12 years old.
Participants under 11 (ages 8-10) must be accompanied by an adult*.
*(Accompanying adults do not need to book tickets)
Free Japanese calligraphy workshop for children 8-12!
Learn the traditional Japanese art of calligraphy, known as shodo, in this workshop for teenagers and young people this October half-term.
Young people and friends between the ages 8-12 are invited to come along to learn and experience this traditional art form with calligrapher and artist Aya Burbanks.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn about the Japanese writing system
- Practice writing kanji characters in different scripts
- Create a greeting card to take home.
*Please note that the calligraphy ink can stain clothing, so please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing.

This workshop is open to children between ages 8-12 only. Participants under 11 (ages 8-10) must be accompanied by an adult.
