IN-PERSON WORKSHOP - Half-Term Haiku for Children

IN-PERSON WORKSHOP - Half-Term Haiku for Children

Unfortunately, this event is no longer going ahead and will need to be re-scheduled to take place over the Easter holidays. If you have any questions or would like to be notified when a new date has been arranged, please contact us at events@japansociety.org.uk.

We are excited to announce a FREE haiku workshop for children and their parents/carers this February half-term. Come along and be inspired in this fun and creative session led by internationally acclaimed poet, Paul Conneally!

About the Session

During this workshop at Calthorpe Community Garden in London, children and their parents/carers will discover what makes a real haiku and how to compose their own original and authentic poems! Session participants will join Paul on a ‘haiku walk’ to gather inspiration and ideas before they start writing.

Please note this event will be held in-person and children must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

About the Teacher

Paul Conneally is an internationally acclaimed haiku poet and artist. He has led numerous workshops for children and adults in museums, schools, galleries and in his favourite place - ‘outdoors’. He has had the pleasure of leading the judging panel of the JAL Haiku Competition for a number of years and is looking forward to working with you!
