Japan Society x Express Yourself 2022
This March the Japan Society is taking part in Express Yourself 2022 - an online festival celebrating languages and cultures in North East England and its connections with the world!
We have created a festival activity and accompanying resources which offer a simple introduction to Japanese aimed at KS2 pupils. Our Fun with Japanese activity is great for beginners who want to explore Japanese culture at the same time as picking up language skills. Participants can: learn basic greetings and how to count up to 10 in Japanese, have a go at writing in Japanese kanji characters, take part in the traditional group warm-up Radio Taiso, and more!
The resources are free and available to all - schools, teachers, community groups and individuals are all welcome to take part regardless of location.
