Japanese Garden Community Day 2022 - Photos

We were so pleased to see so many people enjoying the activities on what was a beautiful sunny day in Hammersmith Park’s Japanese Garden this Sunday 7 August. People of all ages visited the park and took part in family activities like calligraphy and kite making, watched demonstrations such as ikebana and furoshiki, and tried Japanese sweets and snacks, in the serene surroundings of the garden.

The sound of the taiko drums resonated throughout the park and volunteers and visitors alike took part in a spectacular bon odori dance under the shade of a tree.

The atmosphere made for a wonderful afternoon, and we were excited to welcome over 2000 visitors! We thank everyone who came, stall holders, staff and especially our amazing team of volunteers for all of their hard work!
