Applications Now Open for Japan Youth Collective!

16-19 year olds in Greater London can now apply to join the Japan Youth Collective.

Launching in summer 2023, members of the Collective will work with the Japan Society over 8 months to discover more about Japan while making friends and learning new skills. The programme begins with a 2-day summer orientation in August 2023, followed by fortnightly Collective Catch-ups and practical Japan Labs until end of March 2024, where the members will work as a group with professionals and cultural experts in Japan-related fields towards a programme finale which will be shaped by the Collective.

One of the Collective's core aims is to attract young people who are keen to engage with and learn more about Japan but haven't previously had opportunities to do so. The Japan Youth Collective will provide the selected members the chance to meet new people, work with a variety of professionals and experts as they explore their interest in Japan and develop useful skills and experience.

This is a great opportunity for 16-19 year olds in the Greater London area with a keen interest in Japan and its culture who haven't had the chance to learn more at school or in other formal settings.

Application Deadline: Sunday 9 July 2023

The Japan Youth Collective is run by the Japan Society and supported by Japan House London Trust and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
