The Japan Society activities with Express Yourself 2025
This March, The Japan Society is excited to take part in Express Yourself 2025, an online event celebrating languages and cultures in North East England and its global connections.
We have created a fun and interactive activity with accompanying resources to give KS2 pupils a taster of Japanese language and culture. Perfect for beginners, our Fun with Japanese activity introduces participants to:
- Basic greetings
- Counting from 1-10 in Japanese
- Writing Japanese kanji characters
- A calligraphy video tutorial
- Radio Taiso – a traditional group warm-up exercise
- …and more!
Our free resources are available to schools, teachers, community groups, and individuals - wherever you are!
