Lecture by Julia Longbottom CMG, British Ambassador to Japan 2025 - Photos

On Monday 17 March 2025, British Ambassador to Japan, Julia Longbottom CMG, joined us to address The Japan Society at Nomura. Over 160 members attended in-person and the lecture was also livestreamed online to members.

Ambassador Longbottom offered fascinating insight on the last year in UK-Japan relations, including the State Visit to the UK by HM The Emperor and Empress of Japan in June 2024 and the implementation of the Hiroshima Accord regarding Defense and Security, Economy and Trade and Global issues. She also discussed UK-Japan partnerships in Cyber Security, Science and Digital Technologies as well as the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
