The Japan Society

The JYC Blog - December

Over the past few months, the Japan Youth Collective learnt a lot about Japan and worked hard to improve their teamwork and public speaking skills together as a group. They experienced taiko drumming, calligraphy, Japanese folk dance, and traditional Japanese folk music and also had the chance to learn from various experts about Japanese culture.

For their last session of the year, the group played a game of Maru/Batsu quiz to test their knowledge on Japanese history, language, culture and Shinto. After the quiz, they had fun drawing omikuji, fortune written on a small piece of paper, to check predictions about their near future.

The session ended with some sushi and sweets and with a group discussion about their Spring activities.

お疲れ様でした。良いお年をお過ごしください。
