Winter Food in Japan

Hotpots, Christmas cake, osechi, mochi, yakiimo, and more - learn all about some of Japan's most iconic and popular winter foods and dishes in this resource suitable for Key Stages 1, 2, and 3!
In this lesson, pupils will watch a short video and learn about some of Japan's popular winter dishes and associated holidays and celebrations, such as New Year and Christmas. The resource includes activities suitable for the appropriate Key Stage, including a worksheet that pupils will fill in whilst watching the video and presentation, as well as a match-up activity sheet where pupils must match the names of the winter food to the definition.
